What Bank reconciliation does

Bank reconciliation gives your finance team one place to prove that what you recorded is what the bank received. Upload a books export and a bank statement, and the matcher pairs them by reference, amount and date. Anything it is not sure about becomes a suggestion you confirm, never a silent guess. What is left over is classified by rules you control, explained by a person, and carried forward so next month's run resolves timing differences on its own. Every run keeps a report with a reconciliation statement and an audit trail, and your assistants can run, review and export reconciliations for you.

Features

  • One bank account and period per run, with a saved column layout per bank
  • Automatic matching by reference, amount and date; unsure pairs become suggestions to confirm or reject
  • Editable classification rules for fees, float transfers and payouts, with auto-close only where it is safe
  • Open items carry forward on an account ledger and clear themselves on the next run
  • Reconciliation statement, unexplained difference, and a finalise step that records who accepted what
  • Excel, CSV and PDF exports; assistants can import statements, run matching and answer questions about open items
