Apps and connectors
Install Tyms apps for your workspace, enable connectors, and set approval policies.
Apps and connectors are how your workspace’s assistants reach beyond conversation — into dashboards, business tools, and your other systems. Admins control both from the Apps group of the admin area.
Tyms apps
Browse the Tyms apps catalogue and install what your team needs. For each installed app you can:
- Configure it, upgrade it when a new version ships, or uninstall it.
- Run a health check; apps with problems are flagged as needing attention.
- Review its permission summary — each app declares what it can touch, and many are fully self-contained (“keeps its data in this workspace, no file or network access requested”).
Once installed, apps show up for everyone in the workspace — teammates use them in chat and from the apps rail.
Connectors
Connectors link Tyms to accounts your team already has. The model is two-step by design:
- An admin enables a connector from the catalogue for the workspace.
- Each teammate connects their own account to it, signing in with their own credentials. Nobody shares logins, and your assistant acts as you, with your access.
Each connector shows its available tools and the access scopes it requests, and teammates can disconnect their account at any time.
Approval policies
For every connector, admins set the approval policy: which tools your assistants may use freely, and which require the user’s explicit approval each time. Read-only tools are auto-approved by default; actions that change things in external systems can be held behind inline approvals.
