Pilots and copilots are not an AI strategy

One of my favourite stories (thanks CK)...

There's a football coach. His entire playbook is vibes. "Guys — more energy! More heart! Push harder! Try harder!" (this whole story sounds way better in Luganda, trust me)

First half... they concede 2 goals.

Half time. Big speech. Same speech. "Guys, what is happening?! I want more energy! Push! Fight!"

Second half... they concede 3 more.

Then a new coach walks in. No shouting. "Alright — 4-4-2. Here's the formation. Here's the data, the stats, the opponent research. Here's the diets, the player profiles, the game plan."

They start winning.

Moral of the story? You need an AI strategy.

Because here's the thing: if your AI plan is "let the innovation team run some pilots, or here's a copilot everyone, go be productive"... you're on vibes.

You need a game plan. You need to prepare your people, your data, your workflows, your processes, your culture.

AI in your enterprise will be a journey. It's the most transformative technology of our time. It's new, it's fast, and honestly, it makes a lot of people uncomfortable. So no one expects you to have it all figured out.

All we're saying is... have a strategy.
