Channels
Reach Jamaa beyond the web, in email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack and Microsoft Teams.
You don’t have to open Jamaa to use it. Channels let you reach your assistant where you already work. A request sent on a channel works like one typed on the web: your assistant does the work, replies, and saves what it makes to Drive.
The channels
| Channel | How you use it |
|---|---|
| Web | Jamaa in the browser, at your workspace. |
| Every assistant has its own email address. Forward it a thread or send it an attachment. | |
| Message your assistant from your phone. | |
| Telegram | Chat with your assistant in Telegram. |
| Slack | Work with your assistant inside your Slack workspace. |
| Microsoft Teams | Work with your assistant inside Teams. |
Find your own channels under Channels in your user menu. Admins manage the workspace’s channels under Channels in the admin area.
Step-by-step guides for WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack and Teams are on the way. Until then, contact us and we’ll help you set them up.
What channel messages cost
Messages on some channels draw on your balance: an email costs 2 credits, a WhatsApp message 5, an SMS 10 and a voice message 50. Telegram and Slack messages are free. See Billing.
Safety
On every channel, your assistant acts only for you. Messages from anyone else are not acted on, so nobody outside can direct your assistant.
