Quickstart: your assistant and Tyms

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tyms Tasks and run your first board from a chat.

In about 5 minutes you’ll have the assistant you already use connected to Tyms. You’ll work on your team’s boards from a chat, without opening another app.

You need: Claude or ChatGPT, on a plan that allows custom connectors (ChatGPT needs a paid plan). You also need a Tyms account with Tasks switched on. If you don’t have one, the first step sets it up for free.

  1. Switch on Tasks. Go to tasks.tyms.ai and sign in, or sign up with your work email. If Tasks isn’t on for your organization yet, an owner or admin switches it on with one click. It’s free. If your workspace has no boards yet, make one in the browser.
  2. Copy the connector address. It’s the same for everyone: https://tasks.tyms.ai/mcp.
  3. Add it to your assistant. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors and choose Create. You may need to turn on Developer mode first. Name it Tyms Tasks and paste the address.
  4. Sign in. Choose Connect, sign in with your Tyms account and choose your workspace.
  5. Ask. In a new chat, turn on Tyms Tasks from the tools menu and ask for something.

The board is the same one your team sees at tasks.tyms.ai. The change is recorded under your name, marked "via Claude".
